Josephine Rose (Drozd) Suczewski

Josephine Rose Suczewski (Nee: Drozd), 92, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 after a brief hospitalization at the Jersey Shore University Hospital in Neptune. She was born in Bayonne and was a lifelong resident. She served her country proudly as a draftswoman during WWII. Josephine enjoyed spending time at her summer home in Spring Lake. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Bayonne.
She was predeceased by her siblings John Drozd, and Stephanie Kurpiewski ,and her husband John.
Beloved wife of Edward Suczewski. Loving mother of Dr. Dorothy Filip Ed.D, Dr. Edward J. M.D. and his wife Julie, Dr. Thomas J. Suczewski M.D. and his wife Karen, and Janice Suczewski and her husband Roger Magid. Cherished grandmother of Dr. Zachary Filip M.D., Edward A. Suczewski, Michael Suczewski, Kathryn Kopacz and her husband Kyle, Gregory, Luke, Adam, and Elizabeth Suczewski. Dear sister of Loretta Horzepa and her late husband Stanley.
Visitation on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. from the Parish of St. John Paul II at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bayonne. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
