Edward Winkel Obituary

Edward Winkel, 73, a longtime resident of Bayonne passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024. He was born in Astoria Queens to the late Samuel and Valentina Winkel. Edward served his country proudly in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked at the Clifton Barnes and Noble for the past 20 years.

Edward was predeceased by his brothers Richard and James Winkel. Beloved husband of Faith (Nee: Sawicz) Winkel. Loving father of Nicholas and Scott Winkel and two other loving sons Michael Prendergast and Ralph Guadagno. Also survived by his canine companion Reese.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Mass on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bayonne. Committal services and cremation will follow at Rosehill Crematory, Linden.
