John Gmitro

John Gmitro, 86, passed away at home on Sunday, October 8, 2017.  He was born in Bayonne where he resided his entire life.  John was a fabricator for the Western Electric Company of Kearny for 35 years before his retirement.  He was a member of the Western Electric Pioneers of America and was an avid fisherman and hunter.
John was predeceased by his loving companion Michalina Kwiatkowsky and his siblings Andrew Gmitro and Ann Stanko.
Dear uncle of Mitch and Char Stanko, Gregg Stanko, John and Marie Stanko, Ron Stanko, Andrew Gmitro, Barbara Powasnik, Judy Sintin and Storm and Theresa Destro.  Also survived by 8 grand nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Viewing on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the S. Fryczynski & Son Funeral Home, Bayonne.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. from the Parish of St. John Paul II at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bayonne.  Interment follows at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
