Anthony Louis Weimmer, Sr., 81, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, December 15, 2013. He was born in New York City, spent many years in Jersey City and raised his family in Bayonne, where he has lived for the last 50 years or so. Anthony was a retired truck driver for Wooleyhan Transport of Carlstadt, N.J. and a proud member of the Teamsters local #641 of Hudson County.
He was predeceased by his sons; Anthony, Ernest, Paul and his siblings; Joseph, Ernest "Jack", William, Richard, Edward and Ann Marie "Bunny" Singer and his sisters-in-law Anna Weimmer, Fay Weimmer, Aida Weimmer and Dorothy Uliano, also a brother-in-law, Karl Singer, Sr..
Surviving is his beloved wife Margaret (Nee: McKay) Weimmer. Loving father of Jacqueline Weimmer-Sylvester and her husband John, Roseann Deodato and Karen Scism and her husband Bill and a daughter-in-law, JoAnn (Nee: Mari) Weimmer. Dear grandfather of Billy & his wife Stephanie, Anthony & his wife Dawn, Jamie & his wife Jodie, Joseph, Stacey & her husband Nick, Danielle & her husband Vito, Margaret, Steven, Paul, Erica and Erin. Cherished brother of Fred Weimmer and Louis Pascali. Also surviving are 9 great-grandchildren, his sisters-in-law Marilyn Weimmer, Bernice Weimmer, Josephine Feminello, and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the S. Fryczynski & Son Funeral Home, Bayonne. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. from St Michael's Church, Bayonne. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
