Barbara “Joyce" (Stanislawski) Gavrun

Barbara “Joyce" Gavrun (Nee: Stanislawski), 84, passed away on March 27, 2024 at the Largo Medical Center.  She was born and raised in Bayonne where she resided before moving to Seminole Florida.  Joyce was a nurse at Bayonne Hospital and then for several physicians offices in Bayonne and later in life was an assistant teacher.
Joyce was predeceased by her parents Edward and Anna Stanislawski and her sisters Denise Stanislawski and Dorris Schumacher.

Beloved wife of George Gavrun.  Loving mother of Christine Sattler and her husband Joe, George Gavrun and his wife Kathy and Mark Gavrun.  Cherished grandmother of Joseph, Amanda, Daniel and Andrew.  Dear great-grandmother of Rhett and Wesley.  Devoted sister of Geraldine Mallardi and her husband Steve, Diane Kaminski and her husband Stanley and Edward Stanislawski and his wife Marilyn.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday April 8th at 10:30 a.m. from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bayonne.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a hospice of your choice in her memory.
