Barbara J. (Reischach) Sumowski

Barbara J. Sumowski (Nee: Reischach), 61, passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the Father Hudson House in Elizabeth after a long and courageous fight against cancer. She was born in Jersey City and lived in Bayonne for many years. Barbara worked for the Bayonne Board of Education as a teachers aide for special needs children, she spent many years at the Lincoln Community School. She was predeceased by her parents Frank W. Reischach and Doris F. (Nee: Cooke) and her brother Frank J. Reischach. Loving mother of Thomas Sumowski and his wife Maribeth, James Sumowski, Christine Sumowski and Matthew Sumowski and his wife Ashley. Cherished grandmother of Paige and Connor. Dear sister of Doris A. Reischach. Also survived by her sister-in-law Frances Reischach. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Viewing on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the S. Fryczynski & Son Funeral Home, Bayonne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday, November 4th, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Parish of St. John Paul II at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bayonne. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
