Betty (Cerkanowicz) Mierzicii

Betty Mierzicki (Nee: Cerkanowicz), 95, passed away at the Eger Lutheran Home on Monday, April 7, 2014.  She was born in Bayonne and was a lifelong resident.  Betty was an assembly worker for Western Electric of Kearny for many years before retiring.  She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Friendship Club of Bayonne.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Stephen Mierzicki, her parents Francis and Anna Cerkanowicz and her siblings; Francis and Edward Cerkan, Anthony Cerkanowicz and Alice Burda.


Loving aunt of Patricia Magee and her husband Dana.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Viewing on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the S. Fryczynski & Son Funeral Home, Bayonne.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. from the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bayonne.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
