Bob (Robert Edward) Drozd, a.k.a. "Bango Bob", passed away suddenly on Monday, February 13, 2012 at his home in Kennesaw Georgia.
Bob was predeceased by his parents Frank Drozd and Dora (nee Habinowski) Drozd Oros.
He is survived by his beloved wife Karen Mack, his daughters Colleen Drozd Vidal and Courtney Drozd and his dear grandaughters Lilianna Vidal and Daviana Jones.
Bob was a loving husband and best friend, a devoted Dad and a nurturing Grandpa.  Graduate of Mt. Carmel School, Bayonne High School and Germain School of Photography (NYC).
Bob was first and foremost a photographer.  He could be found making contributions to Leon's Photo Shop, Jack Lynch Studio, Verga Studio, Bayonne Review, Bayonne Times and as a freelancer for the Community News.  Bob was a passionate participant in local political campaigns and also found the time to nuture his own sucessful legal phptography businesses: Mac Photo Legal and One Source Legal Photography.  Bob was awarded the prestigious "Artist of the Year" by the Hudson Artists in 2009.
Bob lived in Bayonne most of his life.  In his 40's, they took the risk and Bob and Karen moved several times to follow her career.  Bob and Karen lived in Scottsdale, Arizona; Plainsboro, N.J.; and most recently settled in Kennesaw, Georgia in 2006.
Bob took up the Banjo later in life and worked hard to sharpen his skills.  Once Bob moved to Georgia, he found a willing audience.  He occasionally performed with the band Angel Trip and was known to frequently entertain as a solo act at KB's.  Bob was Past President of The Hudson Artists, Past Predident of P.E.G. (Photographer's Exhibition Guild), Past President ot two professional Evidence Photographers Organizations and Past Officer of Princeton Folk Music Society.  Bob's loving heart extended to his pet family, too.  And all of Bob's many dogs and cats throughout the years, were either adopted from a shelter or taken off the streets.
Bob's favorite places were Becker's in Bayonne, Hudson County Park, Liberty State Park, Plainsboro Pond and KB's in Kennesaw, GA.
Visitation will be on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the S. Fryczynski & Son Funeral Home, Bayonne.Religious Service at 7:00p.m. at the Funeral Home.  Cremation will be private.  Bob's ashes will be buried with his family at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington at a later Date.
