Brendan Joseph Fitzpatrick

Brendan Joseph Fitzpatrick, 28, born in Edison, NJ on June 2, 1993, passed away on April 3, 2022 in Jersey City NJ after suffering severe injuries from a recent fire.

Growing up Brendan had been a member of the Boy Scouts of America where he obtained the rank of 1st class in Troop 12, Edison.  He enjoyed hiking, backpacking and camping.  He attended Edison High School where he played soccer and hockey. He was a big fan of the Annaheim Ducks as well as the NJ Devils.  He was a avid Grateful Dead fan.

As a young teenager, he worked as a lifeguard at the Elks and also the YMCA.  He enjoyed playing golf and just days before his passing he told his Dad that he wanted to be able get back into playing golf. 
As an adult Brendan worked various jobs, including as a security guard, a warehouse worker and a dog walker for WAGS in NYC.

Brendan had a heart of gold.  The many stories told by people who knew him have become testament to this.  He may have not even known how he touched the lives of so many.

Brendan was pre-deceased by his maternal grandparents Jean and Marion Augustyniak.

He is survived by his mother Karen Augustyniak-Fitzpatrick, his father Joseph Fitzpatrick (Patricia), sister Caitlin Fitzpatrick (Kristin), his loving significant other Sarah Laberge, paternal grandmother Gertrude Fitzpatrick and grandfather Joseph Fitzpatrick (Erika), Aunts & Uncles, Walter Fitzpatrick, Mary Fitzpatrick Cox (David), Ann Fitzpatrick Valenti (Mark), Maureen Fitzpatrick Amaro, Nancy Spiers, Michael Augustyniak, as well as many cousins.
