Chester Adamski, 86, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2014 at the Conway Medical Center in South Carolina.  He was born in Bayonne where he resided until moving to Myrtle Beach, S.C. in 2007.  He served his country proudly in the Merchant Marines during WWII and then in the United States Navy.  Chester was retired from the New Jersey Department of Corrections where he was a senior investigator in the internal affairs unit at East Jersey State Prison.
He will be remembered as a gentile, kind and generous man with a contagious laugh and a wonderful sense of humor.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Helen Adamski (Nee: Skok) and his siblings; Joseph, Edward and Stanley Adamski, Catherine Swierk, Stephanie Banacki, Jean Ostryko, Helen Klimowicz and Anne Giles.

Loving father of Paul Adamski and his wife Mary of Myrtle Beach, S.C.  Dear uncle of Stephen Adamski and his wife Kathleen of Lyndhurst, N.J., Joseph Adamski and his wife Deborah of Bayonne and Lawrence Adamski and his wife Marion of Bayonne.  Also survived by many other nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the S. Fryczynski & Son Funeral Home, Bayonne.  A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bayonne.  Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Mwmorial Gardens, Woodbridge.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to the St. Jude Children's Research Hosp.,, P.O. Box 142, Memphis TN, 38101-9908.
