Chester Wolenski

Chester Wolenski, 79, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 4, 2010 at Meadows Retirement Community in Chenoa, Illinois.  He resided in Urbana, Illinois for many years.
Chester was born in Bayonne and was the beloved son of the late Florentina and Stanley Wolenski.  He was also predeceased by his sister Florence Rokosz and brothers Stanley, Anthony, Walter, Edward and Thadeus.
He was a professional dancer who traveled the world performing with various dance companies.  Chester studied at the Juilliard School of New York City and performed with the Juilliard Dance Ensemble and the Jose Limon Dance Company.  He taught  for many years at the University of Illinois, Dept. of Dance in Urbana and the White Street Arts Center in Champaign, Illinois.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the S. Fryczynski & Son Funeral Home, Bayonne.  A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, March 8, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bayonne.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Meadows Retirement Community, 24588 Church St., Chenoa, Illinois 61726.
