Clara Durak Obituary

Clara Durak (Nee: Usarzewicz), 98, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at the Bayonne Medical Center. Clara was born at home in Bayonne where she has resided her entire life.  Clara was a secretary at the American Tobacco Company office  in New York City.  She was active years ago with the Boy Scouts Troop #19 of Bayonne, the Hudson Catholic mothers Club and the Royal Arcanum.
Clara was predeceased by her parents Louis and Stella Usarzewicz Sr., her beloved husband of 55 years John P. Durak and her siblings Louis and Michael Usarzewicz and Barbara Quinlan.
Loving mother of Paul Durak and his wife Marisol, Steven Durak and his wife Eve and Thomas Durak and his wife Frances.  Dear grandmother of Amanda, Leah and her fiancé Jesse Wolleon, Phoebe, Anna and Gwenyth.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dali Stark for all the wonderful care she provided as her long term live in caregiver.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the S. Fryczynski & Son Funeral Home’s new location at 857 Kennedy Blvd., Bayonne. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Judes Children Hospital.

 A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 10:30 a.m. at  Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bayonne.  Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
