David Peters Obituary

David Peters, 60, passed away on February 10, 2022 in his home surrounded by loving family. Born in Jersey City to Hank and Rosemarie Peters, David was active in Boy Scouts in his youth and earned his Eagle Scout Award in 1976. He graduated from Saint Peter’s Prep in 1979, and earned his B.S. in Biochemistry at Manhattanville College. He worked as a medical sales representative, and later in life, became a professional driver. David was happily married to Christine (Basta) for 32 years, and shared their lives together in Bayonne for the last 18 years. They have been blessed with two daughters, Briel and Stephanie. Dave volunteered with Boy Scout Troop 466 in Jersey City and taught 5th grade CCD at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bayonne. He spent the last few months of his life battling esophageal cancer and would encourage all who are healthy to help save lives by donating blood regularly, for it helped extend his time with his loved ones.
Wake is on Sunday 2/13 1pm - 5pm. Fryczynski Funeral Home located at 32-34 East 22nd Street, Bayonne. Funeral is 10:30 am on Tuesday, 2/15 at Our Lady Mt.
