Dominick J Jordan

Dominick J. Jordan, 93, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2011 at Bay Shore Community Hospital, Holmdel, N.J.
He was born in Jersey City and was a lifelong resident of Bayonne.  He served his country in the Army Air Force during WWII.  Dominick was a tool maker for
Westinghouse Elevator Company of Jersey City, where he worked for 41 years.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 371, the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church seniors group and Rosary Society and he was an active participant at the Bayonne YMCA for many years.
He is predeceased by his siblings, Anthony, Helen and Rose Jordan and Lucy Ippilito.
He is the beloved husband of 69 years to Laura (Bissel) Jordan.  Loving father of Stephen Jordan and his wife Susan, Lorraine Gallo and her husband Louis and Frank Jordan and his wife Jo Anne.  Dear grandfather of Kelly, Melissa and Albert and great-grandfather of Cooper, Richard and James.  Cherished brother of Mary Jordan.  Devoted uncle of Stephen and Michael Bissel, Paul Wanagiel and Bernice Davis.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Viewing on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the S. Fryczynski & Son Funeral Home, Bayonne.  A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bayonne.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
