Elanor Rokicki

Eleanor Rokicki (Olszewski) passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at the Bayonne Medical Center.
She was born in Bayonne and was a lifelong resident.  Eleanor received her nursing degree from the Bayonne Hospital School of Nursing and later in life received her Bachelor's Degree from Jersey City State College.  She worked as a RN for the medical offices of Dr. Madaras and then Dr. Duran of Bayonne for 30 years. She was a life member of the Bayonne Chapter of Deborah  and the Bayonne Nursing Association.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband John (Jay) Rokicki.
Loving mother to John Rokicki Jr. and his wife Barbara.  Cherished grandmother to John, Cheryl and Charles and great-grandmother to Emily.  Devoted sister to Stanley and Joseph Olszewski and Rita Podgorski.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at the S. Fryczynski & Son Funeral Home, Bayonne.  A Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bayonne.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
