Elizabeth "Liz" Zawacki, 63, a lifelong resident of Bayonne passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015 at Hackensack University Hospital. She was a graduate of Jersey City State College. Liz worked for IBM as a Systems Analyst for 30 years retiring in 2004. In 2006 she and her friend Beth started Sacred Stiches a business which sold religious Vestments. She was also very involved in Project Linus where she coordinated making, picking up and delivering blankets to Hospitals and Shelters for children. Liz was also active at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, she served on the finance council, the parish council, as a lecture and was a generous supporter of the parish youth group. She was predeceased by her parents Anthony and Josephine (Nee: Redzilow) Zawacki. Loving sister of Ronald Zawacki. Dear friend of Beth Bogdanowicz. Cherished godmother of Mark Bogdanowicz. Also survived by many cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Viewing on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the S.Fryczynski & Son Funeral Home, Bayonne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bayonne. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Project Linus @ www. projectlinus.org
