Eugene G Melofchik

Eugene G. Melofchik, 86, passed away at home with his family by his side on Wednesday, November 6, 2013.  He was born in Bayonne and was a lifelong resident.

He served his country proudly in the United States Navy during WWII.  He worked as a truck driver for the Bayonne Department of Public Works for 27 years.

Eugene was predeceased by his beloved wife Adele (Nee: Kita) Melofchik, his brother John Melofchik and his son-in-law Carmine Romanelli.

Loving father of Greg Melofchik and Therese Romanelli.  Dear step-grandfather of Erica Romanelli.  Cherished brother-in-law of Eleanore Kita and Rose Ormsby and her husband John.  Devoted uncle of Vincent Melofchik, Eileen O'Hagan and her husband Ian and their children Thomas John and Michael.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Viewing on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the S. Fryczynski & Son Funeral Home, Bayonne.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bayonne.  Interment with Military Honors will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
