Florence (Zbylut) Padlowski

Florence Padlowski (Nee: Zbylut), 98, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021at Alaris Health at Harbor View in Jersey City.  She was born and raised in Bayonne and was a lifelong resident.  She was a very active member and supporter of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Bayonne.  During her youth she was a member of the Children of Mary and the St. Cecelia Choir.  She was past president of the Mother’s Auxillary for Boy Scout Troop 19 and volunteered as an attendance ‘fisher’ for Mt. Carmel’s CCD for 40 years.  Florence was a homemaker until 1976 at the age of 53 she became a nurse and tended to patients at Pollack Hospital for the Chronically Ill in Jersey City and the Jersey City Medical Center until she retired 10 years later.  She also attended Jersey City State College from 1977-1980.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Anthony Padlowski and her sisters Viola Boyarski, Jean Stevens and Gladys Podlinski.

Loving mother of Andrea Riddle, Robert Padlowski and Cynthia Walden.  Dear grandmother of Geir, Kyle, Cole, Reed, Andre and Kamal and great-grandmother of Tony, Luna, Odin, Rhys and Noel.

The family would like to thank the Grace Hospice Services for their loving care.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 12th  from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Funeral Mass on Friday, August 13th, 2021 at 10:30 a.m.from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bayonne.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
