Geraldine A. (Maclosky) Pierson

Geraldine Ann Pierson
passed away peacefully on
July 4th. Loved by friends
and family alike, Geri touched
many lives in her roles as a wife, mother,
grandmother, and nurse.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing,
as a member of the inaugural class at Seton Hall University
and proudly served as the Supervisor of School Nurses for
the City of Bayonne. She was also an active member of the
community serving on the Bayonne Child Abuse Council,
Marist High School Mother’s Club, Holy Family Academy
Mother’s Club, Mount Carmel Guild for the Archdiocese of
Newark, Junior Woman’s Club of the City of Bayonne, New
Frontier Democrats, Board of the Community Day Nursery,
St Vincent’s Parish, and Volunteer at the Bayonne Medical
Center.
The former Geraldine Maclosky was predeceased by her
husband, Brendon Pierson, her parents Mary and Anthony
Maclosky, and her siblings, Thomas Maclosky and Irene
Plutnicki.
She is survived by her sons Michael Pierson, Brendon
Pierson Jr., his wife Peggy, her daughter Monica Flynn and
her husband Jim. She was also a treasure, and a firecracker
of fun with her grandchildren, Amanda, Brendon III, his wife
Ashlyn, and Erica Pierson and Justyna, Michael and Anthony
Flynn. Geri was also a loving aunt and cousin to many, and
dear friend to even more. Through it all she never forgot how
much she loved her family and friends, and how much they
loved her.

Visitation will be from
3:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday,
July 8, 2019 at S. Fryczynski
and Son Funeral Home,
Inc., 32-34 East 22nd St.,
Bayonne, NJ 07002. A Mass
of Christian Burial will be
held on July 9, 2019 at 10:00
am at St. John Paul II Parish
Church, Bayonne.
