Gerlin Mota

Gerlin Mota, 33, of Newark, N.J., passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at University Hospital in Newark.
He was born and raised in Bayonne and was a graduate of Bayonne High School where he played varsity football and baseball.  He attended St. Peter's College and then started his career as a New Jersey State Correction Officer.  He worked at Northern State Prison in Newark and Annandale State Prison.
Gerlin was the beloved husband of Clara (Nee: Martinez) Mota, loving father of Helini and Kayleen Mota, cherished son of Efialto and Loyda (Nee: Fernandez) Mota, dear brother of Efi, Joseph, Ephyliris and Dayliris; devoted uncle of Josiah, Nyalisse, and Aiden.  Also survived by many aunts, uncles,  and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Saturday and Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the S. Fryczynski & Son Funeral Home, Bayonne.  The family will gather at the Funeral Home on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. and then process to Holy Cross Cemetery for his interment.
