Helen Zsidisin (Haletzky), 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 6, 2011, at Harbor View Health Care Center, Jersey City.
She was born in Jedlinka, Czechoslovakia and came to the USA in 1946. She was a homemaker. Helen was active at St. John Byzantine Catholic Church of Bayonne, teaching Catechism and helping with Thursday night bingo. One of her proudest moments was attending the Black-tie celebration of the Statue of Liberty restoration with her husband Bill and her son Mark who both worked on the project.
She is predeceased by her husband P. William (Bill) Zsidisin, her sister Marie, her brother Jozef and her parents George and Helen.
She is survived by her children : Paula (John) Murray, Yvonne (Walter) Miksza, Gregory, Mark, Lucienne Yohannan and Michelle (David) Venice. Also survived by 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and her niece Georgine (Joseph) Mihaleko.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the S. Fryczynski & Son Funeral Home, Bayonne. A Memorial Service will be at 3:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Michael Yurista. Rite of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Byzantine Catholic Church, Bayonne. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. John Byzantine CC, 15 East 26th St., Bayonne, 07002.
