Henry J Miedowski

Henry J. Miedowski, 86, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2012 at the Bayonne Medical Center.  He was born in Bayonne and was a lifelong resident.  Henry was a retired warehouseman for F&A Liquor Distributing Company.  He served his country proudly as a sargent in the United States Army during WWll, having seen action as a member of the Pineapple Division in Japan and the Philippines.  He was an avid bowler in the local leagues in his younger years.  He enjoyed sports and was a fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Dallas Cowboys.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Irene (Nee: Krempa) Miedowski, his sisters Emily Gofa, Jean Kisko and Sister Mary Amandine, his sister-in-law Harriet Lesczynski and her husband Walter.
Devoted father of Cherylbeth Martin and her husband Allan.  Dear uncle of Dorene Weber and her husband Robert and great uncle of Tara Weber and Dr. Eric Weber.  Also survived by his precious canine friend Sarah.
Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bayonne.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  A special thanks to Dr. Tom Suczewski and the staff at Bayonne Medical Center and to Carolyn Brown his nurse attendant at home and to all the others who assisted with his care.
