Irene (Serafin) Kowalski

Irene Kowalski (Serafin), 88, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Chelsea at Brick, N.J.  She was born in Bayonne where she lived her entire life before moving to Brick four years ago.
She was a solderer for Airflyte Electronics of Bayonne where she worked for 20 years.  She was a member of the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church Rosary Society and Seniors Group and the Queen Wanda Society, all of Bayonne.
Irene was predeceased by her husband Edward J. Kowalski and her siblings, John, Joseph and Edward Serafin, Estelle Judowski, Anne Serafin and Stephanie Ryan.
Loving mother of Deborah Marchitto, Edward Kowalski and Arlene Gondyke.  Dear grandmother of Phillip, Christa, Katherine, William and Jenny.  Cherished great-grandmother of Anthony, Christian and Michael.
Visitation will be Monday (today) from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the S. Fryczynski & Son Funeral Home, Bayonne.  A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bayonne.  Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Manville, N.J.
