Janina (Pokorska) Firkowski

Janina (Nee: Pokorska) Firkowski, 83, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton, N.J.  She was born in Poland and has resided in Bayonne for most of her life.  She worked for Building Services of New York City for over 20 years.  Janina  was a member of the seniors group at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bayonne.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Zygfryd Firkowski and her two brothers, Stanley and Joseph Pokorski.
Loving mother of Christine Zawadzki and her husband Tadeusz and Elizabeth Montagna and her husband Thomas.  Dear grandmother of Richard, Elizabeth, Janine, David, Jennifer and Marisa.  Cherished great-grandmother of Madalynn, Leanna, Ethan, Owen and Eli.  Devoted sister of Alexa Brzezinski, Josephine Skolarski and Hedwig Roszak.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the S. Fryczynski & Son Funeral Home, Bayonne.  A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. from  Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bayonne.  Interment Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown, PA.
