Joan Circkirillo

On Thursday, January 19th 2023, Joan Cecilia Circkirillo (Nee Harris), Loving wife and mother of three passed away at age 73 at the Toms River Community Medical Center.  Joan enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, and was an avid supporter of the Democratic Party.  Joan loved to spend time with her children, grand-children, and great grand-child.  She was especially fond of baking pies around the holidays and decorating Christmas cookies with her grand-children.

Joan was born and raised in Bayonne where she resided until moving to Pennsylvania in 1995.  She called Toms River home for the last few years.  Joan was an office manager for Dreher Leather Manufacturing Corp in Newark for 20 years. 

She was predeceased by her parents Marion and Irene Harris and her brother James Harris.

Joan is survived by her loving husband, Tony; son Patrick Circkirillo; daughters, Jennifer Circkirillo and Colleen Dalton and her husband Curtis.  She was the cherished grandmother of Abby, Jackie, Casey, Amanda and Chloe and great-grandmother of Elena.  Dear sister of Helen Gricko and her late husband Billy and Jean Harris Lander and her husband Jack.  She was loving Aunt to Natalie, Michael, James, Lauren, Dan and Darla.  Joan loved her extended family Miriam and Grace McBride, Marsha and Kip Metzer, Pericles Kontos, Logan Berchtold, and Billy Popowski.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the S. Fryczynski & Son Funeral Home, Bayonne.  Committal services will be held at the Rosehill Crematory Chapel in Linden on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 11:45 a.m.

Joan was a big advocate of donating blood, and while flowers are appreciated, the family would like to ask that you consider making a blood donation, if you are able, in honor of our Mom.
