John Joseph Kielb, son of Stanley Kielb and Helen Gorczyka Kielb, was born and raised in Bayonne, and was a lifelong resident and parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Beloved husband of Linda Hockstein Kielb for 63 years. Devoted father of Joseph and his wife Brenda Hockstein and David and his wife Dawn Maratta. Doting "Poppy" of four grandsons Julian, Dylan, Gabriel and Evan.
John was a United States Army Veteran, Private 1st Class, honorably discharged in 1966. He then went on to work at United Parcel Service for 31 years followed by owning and operating "Club 20," a bar on 20th Street and the Boulevard from 1968-1979 as well as being the proprietor of "Ray's Pizza” from 1987-1998.
John, also known as "Butch” to all who knew him, could be found supporting his sons and later his four grandsons on the basketball courts and baseball fields for the remaining years of his life.
Services will be held privately at Mount Carmel Church in Bayonne.
