John Parowski

John L. Parowski (May 29,1931 - April 3,2016), 84, of Altoona, PA, formerly of Bayonne died at his home in Altoona surrounded by his family. He was born in Bayonne, NJ, the son of the late Ludwig and Helen (Purzycki) Parowski. Surviving is one son, Dr. Keith J Parowski, his wife Renee and two granddaughters, Danielle and Katerina Parowski. He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa J. (Wisniewski) Parowski. John attended the University of Missouri toward a degree in Business Administration and New York University toward a Masters degree in Business Administration. John was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and attained the rank of corporal. He had lived in Bayonne and worked in Manhattan, NY as a Chief Loan Supervisor for the Small Business Administration until his retirement. After the death of his wife Terry in 2002, John had moved to Altoona to be with his son and his family. John was an exceptionally loving and caring grandfather always doting over his two granddaughters who were the love of his life. Friends will be received at the S. Fryczynski Funeral Home, 32-34 East 22nd Street, Bayonne (201) 339-1692 (www. fryczynskifuneralhome.com) from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on April 8, and 8:30AM to 9:30AM on April 9, 2016. A funeral mass will follow at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Bayonne NJ followed by interment at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City, NJ.
