Joseph Bardzilowski Obituary

Joseph "Joey" George Bardzilowski, 59, of Springfield, Louisiana, died suddenly in an accident on March 25, 2026. Born in Harrison, New Jersey, Joey lived a life defined by curiosity, adventure, and an unshakable love for the people and places that made him who he was.

Joey was a proud graduate of St. Peter's Prep in Jersey City, where he found his footing on the soccer field, made lifelong friends including his best friend Kerry Fryczynski, and went on to earn his degree from Hartwick College. Over the years, he built a broad and varied career spanning financial services, entrepreneurial ventures, and transportation — a range that reflected his restless drive and adaptability.

In time, the open road called to him. Joey embraced the RV life, traveling across the country before finding his

every sense — fishing, living freely, and soaking in the slow rhythms of life on the water beside his beloved partner Ernesta Blowers. An unwavering Liverpool FC supporter through every season, Joey brought that same passionate loyalty to everything he cared about.

He lived by the belief that "the windshield is larger than the rearview mirror for a reason." Joey never dwelled on the troubles of the past — he was always looking forward, always excited for what the next mile might bring. That spirit was at the heart of everything he did.

He is survived by his parents, Joseph Bardzilowski and Carole Vill'Neuve; his stepparents, Julia Bardzilowski and Chuck Vill'Neuve; his children, Maria Sapienza, Donna Bardzilowski, and Ella Bardzilowski; his sister, Lisa Rapolas; his brothers, Michael (Sydney) Bardzilowski and Jon Bardzilowski; his nephews, Justin Rapolas and Henry Bardzilowski; his niece, Jesse (Connor) Wilson; great- nephew, Charlie Wilson; his uncle, Leon Bardzilowski; his aunt, Doris Lucas; and his cousin, Dennis Lucas.

He was preceded in death by his son, Owen Bardzilowski.

Joey will be remembered as a free spirit who lived on his own terms — a man who found joy in the journey, warmth in community, and peace on the water. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

There will be no services at the funeral home.
