Joseph Fiore

Joseph Fiore, 81, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, October 29, 2013.  He was born in Passaic and has resided in Bayonne for many years.  He served his country proudly as a member of the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  He worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier in Passaic for 20 years.  He then worked for the Coca Cola Corporation where he was the head of quality control.  He worked at Coca Cola plants in Rutherford and later Carlstadt and was a member of the soft drink and brewery workers local union 812.  On his days off and later in retirement he worked as a pallbearer, limo driver, removal and doorman for the S. Fryczynski & Son Funeral Home and other local funeral homes.

He was predeceased by his parents Salvatore and Carmela Fiore and his siblings; Al, Anthony, James, Rose Greenberg, Josie, Dora Schimenti and Eleanor Faraci and his sister in law Palma Pirozzi and Harold Delaney Jr.

Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years Christine " Tina " (Nee: Pirozzi) Fiore.  Loving father of Carmella Fiore.  Dear brother in law of Camille Pirozzi and Mary Delaney.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews.

Viewing on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.at the S. Fryczynski & Son Funeral Home, Bayonne.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. from the Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Bayonne.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Bayonne.
