Judith (Hattenberg) Siwiec

Judith (Judy) Siwiec (nee: Hattenberg) of Bayonne passed away peacefully at Complete Care Center in Brick, NJ on December 1st at the age of 84. She was born on August 1, 1939 to her late parents Charles & Gladys Hattenberg and her beloved late brother Richard Hattenberg

She was a devoted and dearly loved mother of her 5 children Philip Carolan, Janie Rickard, Dee Carballo, Michael Siwiec, and Tracey Rutan. 

She had 13 grandchildren, Kelly, Erin, Ashley, Melanie, Morgan, Tyler, Michael Jr., Paige, Diana, Brooke, Gavin, Colin & Hayden. They loved and cherished all the time they spent with her. She also had 10 great-grandchildren.

Judy was a lifelong resident of Bayonne; educated at Horace Mann School and Bayonne High School. She worked for the United Stares Immigration office in Newark, NJ for many years before retiring to spend time with her grandchildren.  She was a member of the Sunflower Adult Care Center and had many friends who she loved and spoke of often.

Having a love of life, she enjoyed helping everyone and being the center of attention. She loved to cook and entertain at her house. Everyone was always welcome at JUDY’s house. She was the second mom to many friends.

She didn’t have a large immediate family, but she cherished the great times with her cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Her nurturing spirit and enduring kindness will forever be etched in our hearts, as we remember the matriarch who shaped our family with grace and compassion.
