Katharine E. Berger (Nee: Rohloff), 72, of Hackensack, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Care One at Wellington. She was born in Weehawken and graduated from Weehawken High School in 1961. Katherine was an executive mortgage officer for Franklin Savings Bank in Manhattan for 25 years and she retired from Spencer Savings Bank. She was the former chairman of the Sea Scout's Ship Ranger for 20 years, a volunteer for Hermitage of Ho Ho Kus, a member of the Mystic Sea Port for 25 years and a volunteer for the Hackensack public school reading program.
Beloved wife of the late Edward H. Berger.
She is survived by her dear friends; John McCollum (Christine), Sharon McKenna (Kevin), Harold Stout Jr. (Kaitlyn), Cheryl Ann Todd-Stout (Stacey) and Gerry August (Joel). Cherished cousin of William Burch and William Groll. Kathy loved her friends, family, cats, history and everything nautical.
