Katherine "Kathy " James

Kathy James, age 54, passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 5, 2011 surrounded by her loving siblings at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, N.J.. Kathy was a member of the Essex County ARC for many years where she resided in several group homes, most recently in Millburn, NJ.
Kathy was predeceased by her mother, Elizabeth (Betty) James, of Bayonne and a brother, Robert. She is survived by her father, Joseph James, formally of Bayonne, now living in Belmar. She is also survived by her brother Joseph James and his wife MaryAnn of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, a sister, Jane Colford and her husband Paul of Roselle Park, a brother Bill James and his wife Vhie of Bethlehem, Pa., a sister Betsy Blumetti and her husband Andy of Allentown, PA, a sister Julie James of Belmar, and a brother Eddie James and his wife Suky of Edison, NJ, 9 nieces and nephews: Michael, Joseph, Michele , Catherine , Liam , Tess,  Emily , Robert and  Kate and her many friends of Essex County ARC.
Visiting will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Ocean Grove Memorial Home, 118 Main Avenue, Ocean Grove. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose R.C. Church Belmar, Monday, January 10, 2011 at 10:30 AM.  Interment will follow at Bloomfield Cemetery, Bloomfield, N.J.  In  lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Kathy's name to the ARC Essex, Millburn Group Home Residence.  Send donations in care of ARC of Essex, 123 Naylon Ave.,Livingston, N.J. 07039 Attn.
