Maria Ambrocio Obituary

Maria Luningning Sta. Maria-Ambrocio, a 58-year-old oncology nurse at Bayonne Medical Center, was warmly remembered Sunday as an “angel sent by God” and a devoted mother. She died late Saturday, October 9, 2021, after she was taken off life support at Bellevue Hospital surrounded by her husband, brother, families and best friends, Norma and Emilia.
Maria, also as Ning Ning, was born on June 10, 1963 to the late Conrado Sta. Maria and Angelina Daniel. She was the third child of four children.
Maria was educated in the Wesleyan University of the Philippines in Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija, Philippines.
Ning Ning was a very loving, kind, sweet and religious person. She loves dancing, singing, and never left her house without her selfie stick. Her coworkers described her as a very dedicated, passionate, and a very reliable nurse, especially during the heights of Covid-19. She always volunteered to help others either at work, church or at Bayonne community.
Maria was married to Ireneo Ambrosio for 31 years and has three stepdaughters, 1 stepson and grandchildren. Maria professed her life to Christ at an early age. She moved to United States in 1987 where she worked at Newark Beth Israel in New York City, and then later in 1997, she moved to Bayonne, NJ to work in Bayonne Medical Center as a Oncology/Medical Surgical Nurse. She is an active parishioner of St. Henry Parish Center, and active member of Servants of Jesus, Mary and Joseph (SJMJ) and Gatekeepers Charismatic Prayer Group.
Maria leaves to cherish her loving memories, her husband, Irineo, her siblings, Conrado Sta. Maria Jr., Angelina Sta. Maria and Carlito Sta. Maria, her stepdaughters, Lehrie Ambrocio-Aguas, Litsas (Chie chie) Ambrosio-Dumagpi, Lalia Ambrosio-Lilia, stepson Ireneo Inghram Ambrosio Junior, grandchildren Angelica Aguas, Trisha Mae Aguas, Faye Dumagpi, Hermie Dumagpi, Jitendra Nicholas Lilia, Lana Lilia, Marco Ambrosio, Sophia Ambrosio, Irineo Alfonso Ambrosio III, great grandson Matteo Daniel Chavez, and her Aunt Fidela (Ine), nephews and nieces.
