Obituary

Maria Kowalczyk (Nee: Gariano) passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Pine Acres in Madison. She was born in Jersey City and was lifelong Bayonne resident. Maria worked for New Jersey Bell for 18 years as an order writer and then she became a homemaker.
She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Mary (Mango) Gariano.
Beloved wife of Richard Kowalczyk. Loving mother of Jay Kowalczyk and his fiance Allison and Marisa Kowalczyk. Dear sister of Joseph Gariano and his wife Flora. Cherished aunt of Danielle Palermo and great-aunt of Nicolo Palermo.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the S. Fryczynski & Son Funeral Home, Bayonne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. from the Parish of St. John Paul II at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bayonne. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.
