Paul Pecoraro, 73, passed away on September 12, 2022 at the Bayonne Medical Center. He was born in Jersey City and was a lifelong resident. Paul was a baker for his family’s business Pecoraro’s Bakery on Newark Avenue in Jersey City where he worked for 50 years. Paul was a graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken and after working in his family business he became a teacher. He taught at a number of private schools before working for the Jersey City Board of Education as a math and science teacher retiring in 2019 after 18 years as an educator. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Paulus Hook Council #473 and the 4th America Assembly #642. Paul was a RCIA teacher at Saint Aloysius Roman Catholic Church in Jersey City.
He was predeceased by his parents Salvatore and Catherine Pecoraro and his brother James Pecoraro.
Beloved husband of Christine (Nee: Piatkowski) Pecoraro. Loving father of Salvatore and Catherine Pecoraro. Cherished grandfather of Angela. Dear brother of Maria and Roberta Pecoraro and Rosemary Oates.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11:30 a.m. from the Parish of St. John Paul II at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bayonne. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
