Richard Edmund Zebrowski, 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 16, 2010, at Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown, PA. He was born in Bayonne where he resided until moving to North Wildwood and then to Hellertown, PA.
Richard worked at Western Electric in Kearny for 39 years before retiring in 1985. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (I.B.E.W.) Local 1470. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 19 of Bayonne. Richard was a Navy Veteran of WWII, proudly serving aboard the Destroyer, U.S.S. Paul Jones, in the European Theatre of Operations.
After retiring, Richard enjoyed spending quality time with his children and grandchildren at the beach and pool in North Wildwood. He enjoyed fixing things and he loved helping his children with thier home projects.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife Madeline (Ciriello) Zebrowski, his son James Zebrowski, his brother Henry Wzorek and his wife Sophia and his sister Priscilla and her husband Stanley Ciechanowski.
Surviving are his loving children: Richard Zebrowski of California, Debra and her husband Robert Moran of Bethlehem, PA, Eric Zebrowski and his wife Helen of Bayonne, N.J. and Felice and her husband Michael Adamcik of Westfield, N.J. Dear grandfather of Jason, David, Cara, Jennifer, Kelly, Michael, Jessica, Timothy, Eric, Patrick, Shannon and Matthew; great-grandfather of Deveney, Ava, Reese, Cole and Giana. He is also survived by his devoted daughter-in-law Stacey Zebrowski.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at the S. Fryczynski & Son Funeral Home, Bayonne. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, September, 23, 2010 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bayonne. Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
