Obituary
Robert E. Schau Jr., 69, of Bayonne, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the Bayonne Medical Center. Robert was born and raised in Jersey City. Robert was a fireman for the Jersey City Fire Department for 30 years before his retirement.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Phillis (Duva) Schau and his parents Robert E. Schau Sr. and Frances (Lambe).
Loving father of Laura Schau. Dear grandfather of Evan Weimmer Schau. Cherished brother of Loretta Lombardo and her husband Vincent and Thomas Schau.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. from the Parish of St. John Paul II at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Bayonne. Interment will follow at Holy Cross cemetery, North Arlington.
