As the family grew, not only did she work in the family business, but was ALWAYS there to help with the grandchildren.

Rose was one of those people when you met her, you liked her. She was a good listener with a great smile and an easy laugh. After a conversation with Rose, you always walked away feeling better.

Rose was a devout Catholic, who could be seen at daily Mass at St. John Paul II RC Church. She cherished the friends she made there especially the morning Rosary group.

Rose spent many happy hours at the 56th St. Senior Center. She especially enjoyed line dancing and the company of all the friendly people there.

Rose was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, John, her loving son Thomas, a brother in law Robert and seven of her siblings and their spouses. She is survived by her brother, Joseph Russo, her sister Theresa Dinkel, sisters in law Kay Reynolds and Christine Reynolds, brother in law William Reynolds and his wife, Wilma. Her surviving children are: John and his wife Angela, Geraldine McCarthy and her husband Kevin, Thomas’ wife Lisa (Nese), Audrey Jacobson (Thomas), William and his wife Maryann, Andrew and his late wife Jenny, Rose Lijoi and her husband Daniel and Bryan and his wife Laura. Rose had 14 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be no viewing. A funeral Mass will be held at St. John Paul II Parish, 39 East 22nd Street, Bayonne, NJ, on Thursday, January 30th at 10:30am.  Entombment in Holy Name Chapel Mausoleum in Jersey City.
