Walter J. Samborski

Walter J. Samborski, 92, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the New Jersey Fireman’s Home in Boonton.  He was born in Bayonne where he resided for most of his life.  Walter served his country proudly in the United States Navy during WWII.  After the war he worked for Western Electric for a few years and then decided to take the test, passed, and worked for the Bayonne Fire Department for 38 years the last 15 years as Deputy Chief.  He always enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and camping and he also enjoyed making Tiffany style lamps and he was an avid NY Yankees fan.
He was predeceased by his parents Julius and Stella Samborski and his siblings; Mary Juchnewicz, Genevieve Suzmski, Joanne Wayne and William Samborski.
Dear uncle of Paul Avery, Steven and Thomas Juchnewicz and Daniel and William Samborski.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the S. Frybczynski & Son Funeral Home, Bayonne.  Religious services will begin at 12:00 noon.  Cremation will be private.
